In Celebration of Spring...

No time now to share much in the way of words, but if a photo's worth 1000 words, then this is a LONG post!
These are some shots from 1 of 2 photo shoots I did today (this one was just for fun-- spring was calling to me)!!

Hope you enjoy and get to "feel a touch of spring" when you look at them.

*Happy Spring!*

Kenna, I for one am grateful that you spend so much time outdoors. Hence the breathtaking images. I think you should blog for your own rasons - your way. I do not agree that we must comply with an unspoken code of behaviour that dictates that we MUST visit X number of blogs and comment. Blogosphere spells freedom to me -- freedom to be exactly who and what we want to be. And that goes for our blogs as well. People who get you will be your loyal followers - the rest - well, they were just guests dropping by.

Keep on clicking!

I'll never get tired of looking at plants, they're always so full of beauty and nature truly has a way of expressing itself through such loveliness as this. Take care!

Kenna- thank you so much for the post on my mom's blog....I thought of you the other day after we found out. I get one of her cameras and plan to continue my journey with photography and now I have the nice camera I never had. I hope to keep in touch and maybe take a class of yours that we had talked about when I met you. It makes me happy that my mother touched you. I am on your email list so you can look me up that way. ~ Jenni Ludwig

Kenna: Just read your comment to Cat Ludwig's family and your heartfelt expressions moved me deeply. Such a shock to absorb.

I'm sorry to hear you have had your own struggles. It is baffling how depression can be so pervasive - striking even those with a deep connection to the earth and a love of life. People sensitive to the world around them seem particularly at risk. Hope you have found some resources to help you. Sometimes these times in life are periods of threshold change and shifting values and signal real growth - we just have to weather them.

Take care. xo Bonnie

Bonnie, thank you! And YES, you'll be happy to know I am *very* much better (like night and day) and planning to write a blog post about it soon... maybe it will be able to help others who are struggling.

Kenna,

I'm a recent fan of your photography. Lately i have been super attracted to flower photo's. So this spring i took my camera with me on my walks to take spring flower photo's. :)

So I gotta kinda laugh when i look at the photo's on my blog of the spring flowers, and the ducks compared to the ones on your site. Mine are like the kindergarden pictures that your kid draws for you and you stick on the refriderator compared to your beautiful works of art. LOL.

I have wanted to take pictures as far back as I can remember, even as a kid. Took classes in high school, and college, so on so on. no matter how I study. My eye goes to that lens, everything goes out of my brain. I forget how to take a good picture. And everything that should kick in naturally. Just doesn't. It is bazaar.

Point being... I guess i'm saying i know it's not a matter of point and shoot. What ever it is that you do. It eludes me. I know its hard work, intelligence, some of it is gifted. however you are able to do it. It is really a talent to be able to capture the perfect photo and i am in awe of it. did that make sense? LOL. Hope so.

i bet you could take just as good of a photograph with a disposable camera. it's all in your eye, not the camera. I totally believe that.

BTW. I LOVE the spring flower. Like I'm laying in the field watching that bee buzy working. Amazing.
