Red Wine on a Cool September Evening
Tonight I spent an hour and a half doing shots of red wine. ... I mean, uhh... shooting a bottle and a glass of wine... hmmm... I mean taking pictures of wine... with a camera (while, of course, sipping wine).
I found that both of these wines (Bogle Vineyards 2007 Old Vine Zinfandel & Clos du Lac 2006 Meritage) made the *perfect* compliment to a September Sunset... they're as tasty as they are beautiful.
I know what some of you are thinking, and NO, I did not drink 2 bottles of wine tonight! If I had, I'm fairly certain that I could have put this post together! ;)

Great shots....the glass looks suspended in mid air in some of them. I'm not a wine drinker, but you made it look very inviting!
Kenna - these are amazing shots. I love the stark simplicity which shows off your subject. And the suspension and reflection - perfect.
I love your photos and your blog. It's amazing.
I'll be back:-)
The stark simplicity of the photographs of the glass with the reflection beneath is very clever. Great photos and the wine looks tempting!
Well thank you All *very* much! Glad you're enjoying them as much as I did. ;)
As far as the mid-air suspension of the glass... it almost was! I was very much hoping I wouldn't break one doing this shoot!
Be sure to come back by later this week-- I'm finally doing another photo giveaway! :)
Which was your favorite? BTW, great work!
Cheers!

They were both lovely, but I think the Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel was the fave for both of us this time. :) I'm also a big fan of a good Pinot Noir, but they can go wrong easily. Sensitive grapes... like me, maybe that's why I like 'em. ;)
